Back in Perth

So how many people in the above photo standing around the crowded luggage carousel look like they’re actually waiting to collect their bags? There should be legislation passed that makes it illegal for anyone that’s not a passenger with a bag within five metres of reach to stand within a 30cm perimetre of a (moving) carousel.

The more astute readers will notice that after a fairly regular set of updates, there’s been a massive black hole in AHW which either means we got trapped somewhere between Taupo and Rotorua or I’ve just been too busy or lazy to update the blog.

APPT Auckland was fun for how long I lasted. It was a little sucky to bust with aces in a reraised pot against the table’s other big stack when he shoved over my donk into a flop of Kc-9s-10s. Obviously after bluffing and value-betting third pair all day he flops a set on a draw heavy-board. Going broke with an overpair is obviously silly but we’d been getting tangled with one another all day and he was the only guy I’d be happy (or as happy as one gets) to bust with aces against as he could be just as likely to have AK here or be playing some draw super aggro. I’d actually picked up aces a couple of times at the tournament yet still couldn’t win, so obviously I should just quit poker and see if I can find a regular low-stakes Uno game about.

To be continued…

They shouldn’t allow the family and friends to see them until the collect their bags.
It’s even better getting out of customs at the Int’l airport and people have to drop their bags for cuddles as soon as the walk out! whats another 2mins wait!
Don’t get me started on people using the overhead storage on the actual plane! :P
